Welcome! Here at Sonja Michael STL we are a small family-owned business.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I married my best friend and my biggest supporter in October of 2007 and I gave birth to our first (and only) child in December of 2012. I absolutely adore being a wife, mother, and business owner.  I come from a long line of creatives. My parents, grandparents (on both sides), and siblings all work in creative fields. Everything from crafting, to furniture building, to major home construction and design. It’s in my blood! 

HOW THIS JOURNEY STARTED: My first “grown-up” job was a Kitchen Designer. Selecting cabinet styles, appliances, floors, countertops, and other colors and finishes was my favorite part of that job. After 10 years in that career, I decided to go to cosmetology school to earn my license. I graduated and immediately started working full-time in the salon as a hairstylist, I was in that industry for several years. In 2012 I went on maternity leave after having our son and decided not to return to the salon due to the nights and weekends it often required.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES: From there I decided to go to school for graphic design. My first job out of college was at a corporate t-shirt shop… and there my passion for this business was born. Unfortunately, the owner of that business had to close her doors due to unforeseen circumstances. I went on to work for two other franchises in the print industry, where my experience and love for the industry continued to grow.

WHERE I AM NOW: I have spent years building a network, learning the print industry, and honing my skills as a graphic designer. I launched this business so I can help my clients in the specialized way that I see best fit for that client.

WHAT WE DO: My true passion is helping businesses (especially small businesses) find the products they need to help market their brand and showcase their events. I like to think of myself as a product consultant, here to help you decide what you need.
